Biography of Cooper Kamara

Cooper Kamara is an accomplished IT professional specializing in web design and development. Raised in Sinkor, New Matadi Fantin Town, Monrovia, Liberia, Kamara is part of a family of five, with three sisters and a brother. His journey of perseverance and innovation has made him a dynamic figure in the IT sector.

Kamara began his educational journey at the Matadi Community School System (Nercy Doe) before continuing at Mary N. Brownell Junior High. He graduated from William V.S. Tubman Senior High School in the 2018/2019 academic year, located on 12th Street, Sinkor, Monrovia, Liberia.

In 2012, under the guidance of his uncle, Kamara ventured into carpentry to develop practical skills for the future. With the encouragement of his cousin, friends at the workshop, and his quick learning ability, he soon became a skilled carpenter. His talent and dedication earned him recognition as one of the best furniture designers in his community. Later, Kamara joined Phillip Woodwork Shop, where he advanced to the role of supervisor and trainer, mentoring young individuals who have since become professional carpenters and contributed significantly to their communities.

In 2021, Kamara moved to Rwanda to pursue higher education at Kigali Independent University, studying Computer Science. However, due to financial constraints, he had to pause his formal education. Undeterred, Kamara pursued his passion for IT through online learning. He obtained several certifications, including:

  • Responsive Web Design and Development from FreeCodeCamp.

  • Internet of Things (IoT) from Kigali Independent University.

  • Digital Marketing from Google.

  •  HTML, CSS, and Basic PHP from Great Learning.

Leveraging his knowledge and skills, Kamara developed an e-learning platform called “Cooper Easy Learning”, which empowers instructors to teach courses online. The platform provides instructors with personalized dashboards for course management and allows students to track their progress effectively. Cooper Easy Learning has significantly impacted the education community by making quality education more accessible to a broader audience. Instructors have been able to reach students from diverse geographical locations, breaking down the barriers of traditional classroom settings. Additionally, the platform’s user-friendly interface and robust features have enhanced the learning experience, fostering a more engaging and interactive educational environment.

Kamara also launched a blog website named “Hamcoma” to celebrate and showcase Liberian talent, culture, and creativity. The website also serves as a platform for Liberian entrepreneurs to share their business ideas and stories. Kamara hopes to foster economic growth in Liberia through his mission.
